Despite having fun in retirement, I will miss many of the things that make a pediatrician’s career so rewarding: The innocent looks on newborn faces, the curiosity that makes toddlers explore my pockets, the stories the school age children tell, the challenging questions teenagers have and most of all, the children’s smiles.
